The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA)
OCIA is for adults over the age of 18 years who wish to become members of the Catholic Church. The conversion process should be approached with prayerful discernment of God’s will. Formal classes take place over several months. The process culminates with the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist), or in the case of Baptized persons, with the Profession Faith, Confirmation and Eucharist.
